Hambone Opera BBQ – The Best Brisket in NJ
While venturing out of South Jersey, We stumbled on some of the best brisket I have ever tasted.
Located about 30 miles Northeast of our Philly area is the Trenton Farmer’s Market. We were out and about trying to beat this heatwave and decided to check out another local farmer’s market. But, besides fantastic produce and local butchers, we found some of the best brisket I have ever experienced. Let me introduce you to Hambone Opera BBQ.
Hambone OPERA BBQ
Nestled in the cozy confines of The Trenton Farmer’s Market lies Hambone Opera BBQ. (Also featured on Food Network’s 50 States of BBQ.) Chef Jeff McKay uses 18-inch logs of local wild cherry wood to smoke meat for 12 to 13 hours. And his passion for flavor comes through in every bite.
Aside from doing it myself, hitting Smoke in Audubon, now I know where to go when we want authentic legit Texas Brisket. Well done Chef! We can’t wait to visit again.
