Pork Tenderloin 2

Smoked Pork Tenderloin

I love a good pork tenderloin. Smoked pork tenderloin is an easy cook and a great way to know your way around your grill or smoker. Another great reason to smoke pork tenderloin is because normally when you purchase one from the local butcher or grocery stores you end up getting two cuts of meat.

In the past, we used the same method as described below on our propane grill, but if you have time, (and a smoker) low and slow with smoke is the best way to go.

Smoked Pork Tenderloin

Serving Size:
6
Time:
3 Hours
Difficulty:
Easy

Ingredients

  • Pork Tenderloin
  • Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Seasoning / Pork Rub

Directions

  1. Liberally season the pork. For our last cook (as shown above) wt used a basic homemade brown sugar, chili powder and garlic salt rub.
  2. Pre-heat your smoker to 225 using a sweet wood. We like using Apple or Cherry pellets for our Pit Boss Vertical Smoker.
  3. Place on the rack and smoke until the pork reaches a done temperature of 145 – 160 (depending on your liking.) Spritz with Apple Cider Vinegar every 30 min to keep moist.
  4. Rest for 20 minutes – slice and enjoy.

I wish we could go on and on and make this a super long-winded post, but alas why complicate things. Smoked Pork Tenderloin may be the easiest thing you ever cook — which is how we want to keep it — nice and simple.

NOTE: Since smoked pork tenderloin takes up relatively no space on your grill, feel free to throw other goodies on the grill and maximize your time.
